Space Invasion

The Scooty & JoJo Show last played Chicago’s legendary rock venue Metro on June 1st 2012, for its sixth record-breaking show in 13-month period!

Expanding the very best of their Alien Queen-meets-Battlestar Fantastica spectacles with a thirty-member rock choir and inter-species dance party, SPACE INVASION is a full-tilt celebration of sci-fi cinema and space rock. All proceeds from the 2012 event went toward Scooty & JoJo’s  GoGo Legit Campaign.

Not so long ago in a not so far away galaxy…

An outrageous parody of the “Alien” film franchise spent a torrid night with the legendary music of Queen and – with some Scooty & JoJo midwifery – a wholly new comic rock spectacle was born. Our  top-notch Alien Queen tribute band features singing and dancing aliens, cross-gendered humans, and some of Chicago’s best singers and rock musicians in a a full-frontal assault of facemelting guitars, facehugging puppets, soaring harmonies, exploding spacecrafts and cyber-robotic burlesque.

“enGROSSing, “delightfully captivating” – NewCity Chicago

Completing our Space Invasion spectacle is Battlestar Fantastica, a terrifyingly sexy sci-fi variety hour featuring burlesque & performance artists from across the galaxy. Hosted by Jyldo  and Trandroid. “Caution: may cause your Laser Saber to extend due to inter-galatic and homo-robotic content.”
